Trees are arresting in the way they move and contort in search of the sun. They don’t let anything keep them down. Trees show their age in beautiful ways with knots, cuts, and angles caused by the wind. With leaves on them, they look almost gentle and soft but, in the winter, when their branches are bare, you can see how strong and mighty they are. This is why trees are a main subject matter of my work. They are beautiful, unique, and resilient. It is my hope that you find this same strength, beauty, and resilience in yourself as you view my work.
